"The Story of Us" Simple Stories Design Team Projects

This wonderful line of papers and embellishments from Simple Stories is, perhaps, one of my all-time favorite Wedding/Anniversary lines ever published. The muted colors work great with any color scheme, double sided papers offer endless options from woodgrain (see below) to stripes, arrows, dots, butterflies, and of course hearts.
The embellishment collection includes a 48 piece cardstock die cut ephemera bits and pieces pack (used throughout the samples) and a collection of 28 Decorative Metal Brads and Tags (see flower's center and several other locations throughout these samples).
I had fun layering several bits and pieces here along with a few brads:
I appreciate the inclusion of this 4x6 card found on the 4x6 Horizontal Journaling Card Elements paper which lends itself to the perfect anniversary card.
Doilies layered with hearts, and birds create this cover embellishment on a mini-album I created using "The Story of Us" Simple Stories paper line along with photos from my nephew's September 2014 wedding (Congrats Tim and Melissa!).
The tabbed chipboard pages have tiny stickers from the 12x12 sticker sheet, I used  Charcoal Cat Eye Inks around some of the edges after I sanded them with the Tim Holtz sanding tool:
Two hinged rings hold it all together:

{Cards with Graphic 45} Birdsong Collection

Shanghai Girls is a cheeky, fun paper from the "Birdsong" Collection (Graphic 45). Shelly here with a  few cards I would love you to take a look at. I  created them using the Graphic 45 Birdsong papers:
You'll notice "the girls" are printed on about the size of a playing card-so they work great for the front of a greeting card.
The left card says, "Hello" spelled out using alpha stickers from Bella Blvd. Sophisticates Saffron & Mustard stickers ("Thank-You") is from the same. I wrapped cream toile around the fold at the top of the card and tied it in a bow. I added a metal brad to the center of a Graphic 45 flower and placed both in the bow's center.
The Thank-You card (as well as the "Hello" card) have Jasmine Dream as the printed background paper on Bazzill cardstock.
Here are a few more cards I created using Bird themed papers from the Birdsong Collection as well:
I feel that these cards will work great as Anniversary cards for special couples. It's always so hard to find good anniversary papers and the bird pairs are so pretty!
I used Spellbinder dies to cut two different label pieces (Metallic gold Bazzill and backside of Tranquility), and a word die for "Congrats". Highlights were created with an American Crafts gold metallic pen and a black Spica glitter pen. The cards base is Core'dinattions paper embossed with a Cuttlebug embossing folder and then sanded with a Tim Holtz sanding block.
This card was created using a Bazzill card base, Tranquility paper from the Graphic 45 Birdsong line, Prima flowers (3 layered) and Prima self-adhesive button, Just Rite word stamps, black cat eye ink for the edges of the card.
Thanks for taking a look at my cards today! All of these products area available for purchase at The Scrapbooking Studio, Moline, IL

Sassy Lil' Sketches Week 3 Card Reveal

We're half way through September and it's already time for another Sassy Lil' Sketch card reveal. Are you ready? Here it is:

I created an Anniversay card for my brother and his wife who were married on October 31. I used Cosmo Cricut paper, Kaiser Kraft blooms, Stampin' Up punches, and Ranger Distress ink on the edges of the card and patterned paper.

This card has most of my favorite colors on it. I love Autumn and all the beauty it has to offer. I think it may be my favorite season. What's yours? Oh, did I mention this month's Sassy Lil Sketch sponsor is Authentique Paper? Well, they are-so play along on Sassy Lil' Sketches and you will be registered for the monthly drawing. All you have to do is copy the sketch above, take a picture of your card, and post it on the website here: http://www.sassylilsketches.com/ You'll find the rules, gallery, and lots of inspiration!
