{Project} Giddy-Up! with Shelly Maxwell

Have you seen these adorable straw embellishments at The Scrapbooking Studio, Moline, IL?
When I saw the chevrons, polka dots, and stripes in tons of colors
I new I had to have at least ONE in every color
and design-so I scooped up a handful of them!
I punched a few concentric circles and the Giddy-Up line of papers from Carta Bella.
I tied the circles to to the straws with ribbon and
secured each circle with a glue dot to the straw on the back side.
I think these little cuties are going to look great attached to the top of gifts,
tucked inside gift bags, and adorning gift cards.
What will you create with your straws?
All of these products are available at The Scrapbookin Studio, Moline, IL

{Mini-Album} Giddy Up! with Shelly Maxwell

 It's time to Cowboy Up!
Create adorable mini-albums and other paper projects using Carta Bella's Giddy Up!
 line of cowboy/horse themed papers.
I created a mini-album using two die cut chip board mini albums
(a star album, and a label shaped 6x6 album) and
alternated pages between the star and label shaped pieces.
I sprayed the raw chipboard with Dylusions inks and allowed them to dry-which only took a few minutes.
Next, I used Distress ink on the edges of the stars to help create dimension and to tone down the super-vibrant colors a bit.
Layered flowers were created using the Sizzix Thinlits die Fancy Label and Flowers set
(which comes with a wonderful storage case!).
I added a few pearls for shine.
The Giddy-Up collection includes a 12x12 sticker sheet that contains adorable horse themed icons, words, and small buttons and paisley motifs perfect for cards, layouts, and mini-albums.

Ride in to The Scrapbooking Studio, Moline IL and discover all of these products PLUS tons more!

{Layout} Giddy Up! with Shelly Maxwell

Carta Bella has a great new line of papers: Giddy Up! Perfect for all your horsing around photos!
I love the cowpoke themed papers, stickers and journaling spots available with this line of product.
I was able to do-si-do the Giddy-up papers with Sizzix's Thinlits die Fancy Label and flower set to create this light hearted title spot:
The 12x12 sticker sheets is a great addition to grab when choosing the papers because of the adorable horse-themed icons, words stickers, and smaller button and paisley motifs.

{Cards} Giddy Up! with Shelly Maxwell

Carta Bellas's Giddy Up line of papers and stickers was incredibly fun to work with this month. I was really inspired to create lots of cards (which I'll share today), a mini-album layout, and a super quick and easy paper project using the newest embellishments from The Scrapbooking Studio.
I used the Sizzix eClips machine and Cards and Envelopes #2 cartridge to create this Summer themed Ice Pop card.
The eClips cartridge has several embellishments (like the cherries shown below) to choose as really cute add-ons to each card.

The Carta Bella 12x12 sticker sheet is LOADED with the perfect stickers to finish off your creations.
I also cut this boot and butterfly card using the same eClips cartridge, and I pop dotted one of the Giddy Up sticker's for the butterfly's body:
The butterfly remains connected to the card front in a few spots once the card is cut with the eClips machine so the user can simply fold the wings up a bit to make the card 3-D.
Even the inside cut on this one looks really pretty!
I used faux leather "ribbon" from The Scrapbooking Studio tied around the upper fold of this card and then die cut the mat and some embellishments using the Sizzix Thinlits die set Fancy Label and Flowers in my Vagabond machine.
And lastly, I would like to show an adorable gift tag which was also cut using the eClips Cards and Envelopes #2 cartridge, and stickers from the Giddy Up 12x12 sticker sheet.
Thanks a bunch for checking out this weeks projects! I'll share more creations in the coming weeks so check back often! You can purchase ALL of these products at The Scrapbooking Studion, Moline, IL

{Mini-Album} Arch Frame Die

October Afternoon's garden themed papers inspired this garden journal. Create the journal pages by cutting chipboard using a tag die and then spray the chipboard with dye like Dyllusions inks and use a templates to create the background on the chipboard pages.
The page on the right shows the Tim Holtz Arch Frame die with the word "HOPE" cut in the center of it. I cut the shape the right way and the "wrong" way so that the cut out word "Hope" would be double sided. I placed pop dots between the two layers for dimension.
The "&" was cut from the Sizzix Word Play Alpha XL die and the stamp beneath it was cut using the stamp die from the "Movers and Shapers", ATC embellishments throughout were made previously.

I love the October Afternoon garden themed papers that are available and used them as my background for this garden journal.
I also used the Mini Labels Set of Movers and Shapers dies to create small journaling spots on some pages.

Other Products used on this project include: Spark Tinsel American Crafts, 7 Gypsies Acetate ATC cards, BoBunny Noteworthy Journaling tags, Maya Road pins, Tim Holtz lock on front cover, Simple Stories Vintage Bliss Stickers throughout
