{Echo Park Very Merry Christmas} Cards with Shelly Maxwell

I would like to share two Christmas cards with you this week that I haven't shown yet using the Echo Park line of papers, element stickers, and alpha stickers "Very Merry Christmas":
The center card below "Noel" was created using Echo Parks papers & element stickers along with antique piano music torn and ink with red ink and pop dotted for extra dimension.
And secondly, I would like to share this "Holiday Cheer" card also created with the papers and element stickers from the Echo Park Very Merry Christmas line of papers, Petaloo flowers, and as I've mentioned in previous blog posts, my new FAVORITE bling: Prima Say it in Crystals: Tea Thyme (that's the flourish)
These cards went together rather quickly. I feel that is in part due to the great designs Echo Park included on their element sticker page. You can grab all of these goodies for yourself at The Scrapbooking Studio, Moline, IL.

{Echo Park Very Merry Christmas} Card with Shelly Maxwell

Santa is coming soon! Are you on the nice list? I bet you are...
Shelly here with a card I would like to share to rejuvenate your inspirational card making thoughts.  I created this 4"x5.5" Christmas card using the Very Merry Christmas line of papers, element stickers, and alpha stickers from Echo Park. I also used one of my new FAVORITE blings: Prima Say it in Crystals: Rondelle. These are the swirly embellishments upper left and lower right on the card front. I think they make a regular card something a bit more special.
I'm always happy when I can use one of my new dies and on this card I was able to add a Tattered Poinsettia I cut with my new Sizzix die. Happy times!! I added a Maya Road bingo marker with the #25 for Christmas.
The final bit of shimmery Christmas joy comes from the little star pin from Maya Road held in place with glue dots, sharp pointy end tucked beneath the pop dotted Santa image, and embellished with a tiny black bow.

{Echo Park Very Merry Christmas} Project with Shelly Maxwell

Hi-Shelly here with a Christmas project I would love to share with you. I had a BLAST creating this Christmas shadow box decoration! It went really quick and it was super fun:
Here's how I did it: Begin this project with a Maya Road Trinket Shadow Box painted with Grass Green Distress Ink (HINT: Create your own custom spray ink by adding one dropper full of reinker dye in  Grass Green (Distress Ink) mixed with a small portion of perfect pearls, and water in a small spray vial). I then gave it a metal finish by adding Distress Stain in Brushed Pewter over the edges.
I cut pieces of paper to fit into the shadow boxes from Echo Park's Very Merry Christmas line of papers, Element Stickers, and Alpha Stickers.
Here's a close up of most of the boxes:
I used FabriTac Adhesive in the corners and added som Stampedous Frantage shaved Ice for SNOW (plus it's sparkly!)
I used one of the metal word banners from Tim Holtz's Idea-ology words. I tied little knots in each end and adhered it to the project with glue dots.
In this shadow box I used two layered Prima flowers with a Idea-ology Foliage from the Festive collection as the center. I colored the two white flowers using Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze Paradise Pink and Wicked.
A corked vial from Idea-ology's corked vial set filled partially with Stickles dry fine glitter in Christmas red and labeled with sticky back canvas and the word "Happy" adorns the box above.
Make your shadow box whimsical and add items from your childhood or tiny antique treasures.
Finally, I wrapped the outside of the box with Gingham Barn Red Fabric Tape from Maya Road.
Merry Christmas!-Shelly Maxwell

{Echo Park Very Merry Christmas} with Shelly Maxwell

Christmas is creeping up on all of us and it's time to start thinking about creating some one-of-a-kind Christmas cards! Hi, Shelly here and I would like to sugget to you to try using your Copic markers (or similar) to create something really special for someone you care a lot about:

I created this card using Echo Park's Very Merry Christmas papers, Stampers Anonymous Christmas Time Stamps, Copic markers in various colors, and DecoArt Snow Writer to make Santa's fur and beard dimensional and realistic. I fussy cut around the image once I had it colored and it was dry and then before I attached it to the front of the 6x6 card using large pop dots I used the tip of the black Copic marker to the outer edge of the fussy cut/stamped image.

You can pick up these goodies at The Scrapbooking Studio in Moline, IL. Thanks for checking out the blog and happy card making!-Shelly
